Poem: Nightmares of Your Death

In the midst of the night,
I hear you call my name,
I see your beautiful face,
And I feel I am to blame.
The coldness engulfs me,
The darkness surrounds,
There no where to hide,
From these tormenting sounds.
Your screams I can hear,
Your pain I can feel,
And I run through the void,
My head starts to reel.
Faster and faster,
I run to you now,
I'm trying to save you,
Thought I don't know how.
Finally I make it,
To the place where you hang,
It's my fault you are here,
A voice inside me rang.
I reach out my arms,
To you as I cry,
I love you dear Gabby,
And I to want to die.
Then suddenly you vanish,
I wake up to the night,
The dream is now gone,
But I'm still not all right.
