Poem: Day by Day

Never dreamed I'd be a warrior-
never really dreamed of much
Day to day I lived my life-
days moved on, my fate was set.

Took up my sword for freedom's sake
and lost myself along the way
I'd done so much, I wasn't sure;
could I find the girl lost in the rage?

Threw down my sword to stop the pain
I met a girl and fought again
This time for right, for freedom, for peace
My friend, my hope now guides my way.
