She tossed her blonde mane out of her face. She was all alone, and she didn't like it.
They left her. They said they'd be back. They lied.
She'd show them. She headed away, and came upon a warlord's camp.
He thought she was beautiful. He appreciated her. This would be a good place to be, as long as he didn't ask her to fight with him. He gave her a tent of her very own. He told her she'd never go hungry, that he would dress her richly.
Xena would hate it. Of all the places she could go, this would hurt her the worst. It would serve her right.
And, oh, he fed her well. She was content.
Finally, Xena returned. She had searched for her, she said. Come away with me, she said.
She walked away. She was angry, and didn't feel forgiving.
Yet Argo knew that in time, she'd go back.
