Summary: During a fight, Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, Autolycus, and Amarice are teleported into a new world much like theirs, but with Dinosaurs. They then meet and befriend another group of people stranded on the island. Just to make things short; Marguerite falls for Joxer, and Autolycus has a thing for Veronica, but things take a slight turn.

"HURRY UP!! MOVE THOSE LEGS AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!" Xena yelled behind her shoulder.

Joxer and Xena so far were the fastest runners there out of Amarice, Gabrielle, and Autolycus. He looked behind himself, only to see the giant T-Rex catching up to them.

DAMN YOU, AUTO! this is all your fault that we're....here, Joxer thought as he looked over at the running King of Thieves, who had ahold of Amarice's arm to keep her moving.

This all started when Auto was, once again, up to his own ways and his grand title. He had broken in to yet another very rich king's treasure room, in search of a divine object called the mystic mirror. It had the power to send anyone to wherever they wanted. In other words, it was like a dream maker.

Luckly, with Amarice, they were there to stop him....or tried. Within seconds, Autolycus activated the damn thing, and here they were...being chased by a giant monster unknown to them, in a land almost like home but different.

Joxer heard a grunt and the sound of someone hitting the ground behind him. He looked over his shoulder, only to see Gabrielle holding her ankle. His eyes bugged out, and stopped immiediatly.

"GABRIELLE!!" He cried, running up to her.

The T-Rex stopped as Joxer ran to his beloved bard's aid. He started to craddle her in his arms, but as both looked up, fear filled their eyes and panic crossed their faces as the T-Rex, snarling and drooling at his new meal, sneered down at them. None of them noticed a figure in the distance, with a rifle gun.

BANG!!

Three shots were fired. The T-Rex cried in pain as the bullets ripped in it's neck. The cry was loud enough to stop Xena, Auto, and Amarice in their tracks.

Seeing their chance to escape, Joxer picked up Gabrielle in his arms, and rushed over to the side of the jungle.

They were out of harms way. Joxer set the blonde bard gently against a tree.

"Are you ok, Gabby?" He looked very concerned and worried. His face still flushed with panic of facing near death, again.

She grunted as she pointed at her injured ankle. "I think...I think I twisted it. Really bad."

Joxer carefully removed her boot, and examined the injured ankle. Gods, it had a big nasty bruise. He didn't have any medicine to give her, nothing to give her treatment like a healer...except....

Joxer ripped of piece of cloth from his self-made armor. It was long enough. He took the scarf, wrapped it gently around her ankle, and tied a knot in it so it would not become lose.

"If only you still had your staff, then this would be easier." he joked. But she didn't catch it, as usual.

"Is she alright?" an unrecognized voice to both Joxer and Gabrielle asked from behind.

Joxer immediatly spun around, his hand wrapped around the hilt of his sword. Facing him was a man, dressed up in unfamiliar clothes to Joxer, and on his head was an ackward hat.

The man, with the rifle strapped around him, raised his hands in the air. "Woah woah, easy. I just saved you and your friend's life."

Joxer looked at him suspiciously. "Who are you? And what...in Tautaurus is that?" Joxer pointed to the rifle.

"My name is Roxton. John Roxton. And this...is a rifle gun." The man pointed to the gun.

Roxton looked over at Gabrielle, still slumbed against the tree, with one of her sais in hand prepared. He looked back at the lanky man in weird armor. "Her ankle must be pretty bad. If you would like, I can take you to my friends. They can help her."

"How do I know I can trust you?" Joxer tried to sound and look like the warrior he claimed to be all his life.

"Because my friend is already leading your friends back to our place."

Roxton pointed out in the distance. Joxer watched as Xena, Amarice, and Auto being lead by a middle aged man and a blonde beauty whose clothing revealed more of her body than Gabby's. As Auto's usual self, the King of Theives was swaying the blonde beauty with his charms. Joxer rolled his eyes.

Roxton turned back to them. "Come on. We can catch up to them if we hurry."

Without warning, Roxton walked up to Gabrielle, and easily lifted her in his arms, much to her surpise and her pleasure, and to Joxer's jealousy. He could have sworn he saw the bard smile as that Roxton guy craddled her in his arms.

He sighed and followed after Roxton, walking far behind.

Challenger pointed up at the tree house. "This is it. Home Sweet Home. Marguerite and Ned should be here waiting for us."

Xena walked up beside him. "Nice place. Up in a tree, away from any danger on ground. I like it." She smiled.

Behind them, Autolycus was still in his flirtation self with Veronica. "And so there I was, outmatched and outnumbered. I mean, come on...twenty gaurds against one theif. Heh, it was all too easy."

Veronica looked up at him, not impressed by his story. "Strange but didn't you say outmatched?"

"That I did."

Veronica crossed her arms over her chest. "Than how could it all be too easy, oh great King of Thieves?"

Auto looked a bit nervous, not much in his flirting state. "Look, maybe I was outnumbered, but I managed to outmatch them before they could outmatch me!"

Autolycus then returned back into his charming ways as he put an arm around Veronica, and grinned his heartbreaking smile. "So how bout you show me around this place? You know, maybe we could get to...know..each other a little more?"

Still unimpressed though, Veronica shoved his arm away. "I'd rather eat that T-Rex's eye balls." And walked away from a dissapointed Autolycus.

Challenger looked at the distance, and spotted Roxton, with Gabrielle in his arms, walking towards them.

"She hurt her ankle while running!" Roxton called out. "There's another guy, but he's far behind! I don't think he trusts strangers that much."

Xena and and Amarice looked at each other, both with a knowing look on their faces. "Oh boy." they both whispered.

Far behind from Roxton, Joxer began to walk up to the tree house his friends stood by. As he walked, he heard a splash from a near by lake. He looked over the waters, seeing a dark haired woman rubbing her neck with the soap and the lake water. She was completely nude, even though he could not see the rest of her body.

She was, truly, the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. More beautiful than Gabrielle, Xena, and even Aphrodite. And, oh Gods, what a body!

A twig suddenly snapped as he took another step forward, causing the bathing woman to look over in his direction.

Their eyes met, they both froze. Even her eyes were pretty. Joxer felt his heart beat faster with every minute they stared at one another.

Marguerite looked the lanky man up and down. His clothing was...quite ridiculous and stupid, but his features were...were....

"Joxer!" Xena called his name.

A moment after he heard his name called, his eyes still didn't rip away from Marguerite's eyes. Finally, he tore his eyes from hers, and jogged up to his friends. Marguerite quickly got out of the water, dried herself off, and put her clothes back on. She started to rush up to the tree house. For some reason, she had to see the lanky man again.

"..and so that's our story." Xena finished.

"So..you and your friends are from ancient time Greece?" Ned asked, a pad and pen in his hands.

"Yes. Gods know how many years have passed since then." Xena replied. She looked up at the three men and the blond beauty next to Ned. "What about you, what's your story?"

"Stories, actually." Challenger began. "My name is Edward Challenger, I am a scientist. I travelled here to learn about unknown life. This is Ned Malone, he's a writer that's come to write a good story of adventure and beauty. The tall one that saved your two friends is John Roxton, he's....well, he's a fighter no doubt. He came looking for great adventure here."

"The young girl next to Ned is Veronica, she has lived on this island since she was a child. Her parents mysteriously dissappeared, or they're dead. And the..." Challenger pointed to the tall brunnette, who Joxer was looking at. Xena and Gabrielle saw this and. Xena couldn't help but smile at her friend, while Gabrielle couldn't help but glare sinisterly at both Joxer and Maruerite.

"The tall brunnette there is Marguerite Krux, a very wealthy woman who came with us to seek out her own desires."

Gabrielle leaned over to the side to Xena. "Tell me if I'm seeing things...but is Joxer..."

As she leaned forward more, her skirt moved a bit open, giving Roxton a good, long view. Roxton cleared his throat and moved away from Gabrielle.

Xena saw this, and grinned. "You know, that Roxton fella was just looking up your skirt?" she whispered.

Gabrielle looked puzzled, and looked to where Roxton now sat, his face blushing uncontrollably. She grinned, and gave her soulmate a wink as she laid back down again, uncrossing her legs.

Marguerite began to finish the apple in her hand. She froze when she felt his eyes on her, again.

Men just can't get enough. She whispered and grinned.

"So do you like staring at my back?" She asked.

Joxer was taken out of his day dream, and looked up at Marguerite.

She turned and looked at him, smiling her seductive grin. The same she used on the giant that wanted Veronica as his own. She slowly walked over to him. Her shirt was half unbuttoned down the center of her chest. Joxer gulped.

Gabrielle caught view of Marguerite walking up to Joxer. She cursed under her breath and swore if that woman touched him, she would be wearing a hat for the rest of her life.

Xena saw the anger and jealousy in Gabrielle's eyes, and put a strong hand on her shoulder to keep her down and calm. Gabrielle glared at the warrior princess, who glared ten times worse back.

"Like I said, Gabrielle. If your not going to take him, it's not fair to let anyone else not have him." Xena whispered. She got up from her sit and walked over to Ned and Edward. Gabrielle watched her leave, thinking about her words, but her anger flashed on again when she saw Marguerite's hand on Joxer's leg.

Challenger looked up at Xena. "I think I know how to get you back home."

"I'm listening."

"If the mirror brought you here, then it can bring you back."

Xena grinned. "Well, now I feel stupid. I shoulda thought of that the moment we got here." Her grin turned into a frown as a realization hit her.

"What is it?" Ned asked.

She looked at both men. "We lost the mirror when we got chased by that giant lizard thing. Autolycus had it, so he must've dropped it somewhere."

Ned just smiled. "Then we'll just retrace your steps. I mean, that is, if you can remember which way you ran."

"Oh I can, trust me on that." She smirked.

"Speaking of which, where is your friend, Autolycus?"

Just then, Auto screamed as he fell down from the tree house. Xena winced as she heard his body hit the ground.

"Flirting again with Veronica." Ned shook his head.

"I'm...ok...nothing..to...worry...about." Auto called up.

Amarice smiled down at the fallen King of Theives. "You know, you should stick with Xena. She doesn't kick your butt this bad."

"Oh ha ha ha, laugh it up, Reddy. And don't worry, I'll have that blond in awe in my arms in no time. Just...gonna take a bit longer than expected."

"Hmpf." Amarice smiled as she walked away.

"What?! I will! Trust me!"

Gabrielle watched the flirtation of Marguerite and Joxer, Roxton only becoming a memory in her mind. She didn't even notice that her fists were so tightly squeezed, a trinkle of blood began to run down her hand.

She jumped the moment Xena touched her shoulder.

"Sorry." Xena smiled.

Gabrielle sighed. "So what did he say?"

"We need the mirror to get back home. We have to retrace our steps and find it. All I say is we better find it soon, I don't want Mother or Eve to worry."

Gabrielle looked back at the two figures, talking and laughing with each other. "What do you think of her, Xena?"

Xena looked over at Marguerite. "Well, she is very beautiful. She seems smart, and tough. She uses her beauty like a weapon, to win over a desire."

"And Joxer happens to be that desire."

Xena frowned at her blond friend's sadness. "You're falling in love with him aren't you?"

Gabrielle put her head down. "I didn't expect this, Xena. Not in a million years or life times. It's just that....ever since he was poisoned by that assasin of Apollo, I've...I've.....Gods, it's hard to explain."

"Very hard. I mean....you're in love with him of all people." Xena joked, making Gabrielle smile.

The next day.

Ned walked out of the elevator to the tree house. In his hands was a mirror object. He looked sad.

"We've got it, but there's a problem."

He held the mirror. A crack was in the glass that reached across from side to side.

"Well, there goes our trip home. " Auto sighed.

"Not neccessarely. There is a way to fix it." Challenger added.

"How?"

"Up in the mountains, a woman named Anna showed us the Fountain of Youth. However, the water turned to dust as she did. But I did learn that I could use the dust to nearly fix anything. But all my tools I need to do that are here."

"So we have to get some of that dust, and come back here so you can work your magic. Well...it's better than anything." Amarice sighed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"When do we leave?" Joxer asked.

"Later on. We have to get equiped, since it is a long journey. And some of us must stay here in case of an emergancy." Edward replied.

Autolycus stood up from his seat. "It's my fault we're here, so I'm going. I got us in this mess, and now I'm gonna get us out."

He looked over Veronica, smiling in satisfaction as he finally impressed her.

Roxton walked up beside Auto. "I'm in."

Veronica raised up her arm. "Nobody knows this place well like I do, so I feel that it is my duty to go with you."

"Well said." Auto grinned.

"Alright then. We better get some ammo. You never know if we will run into the blasted T-Rex again, or any Raptors."

"Challenger, you should stay here and prepare your tools to work." Xena suggested.

Challenger thought of protesting, but thought better than to go up against the warrior princess.

"I'm coming to." Joxer stood up.

Auto smirked. "Sorry little buddy, but you could end up getting killed out there. Of course you showed great bravery for saving Gabrielle's life but...."

"I'll go to. I'll watch over him." Marguerite stood up, just as Gabrielle was about to.

"Let me guess, beautiful and deadly?" Auto smiled.

"Beautiful and deadly with a whip, that is." Roxton whispered to Auto.

All eyes moved to Roxton.

"What?" He shrugged.

Gabrielle threw here sais at the nearby tree next to the tree house. She swung them with great strength and momentum, the entire blades were almost dug into the tree. She used all her strength to pull them out, only to throw them again with the same intensity.

As she threw them again, this time Xena caught one of her sais in mid air.

"Still upset?"

"About what? Upset that I have feelings for Joxer, or upset about Marguerite?"

"Both."

Gabrielle sighed, and slumped herself against the tree she threw her sais at. "I didn't ask for these feelings, Xena. I didn't even want them."

"And you're affraid now of losing him to another woman and you won't ever get your chance?"

The bard nodded.

Xena pulled something from her side. It was a piece of paper with words. Gabrielle looked up, puzzled and questioning at Xena.

"Ned said he was a writer. He told Joxer about private journals, where you write down all your thoughts and experiences." Xena replied.

"Joxer made himself a private journal?"

"That, and," Xena pulled another piece of paper from her side, "this."

Gabrielle took the first paper. She began to read it.

Dear Journal, if that's your name.
Hi, I'm Joxer. Joxer the Mighty. Heart of a Lion? Well , anyways. Ned told me about this whole journal thing. We have something like this too, but it's differently named. So here I go.

First, today I've met some strange people. They have different weapons and clothes, and different devices from us. That's because we been sent into the near future of my time. Second, I met a very beautiful woman named Marguerite, but I call her Marge for short. I really like her, but she's not Gabrielle. For some stupid reason, even though this woman respects me, I'm still in love with Gabrielle, and I don't feel that away around Marge at all.

Gabrielle threw the paper down and smiled so brightly as she leaned her head back and sighed. "So I do have a chance."

"Read the second one Gabrielle."

Gabrielle took the second paper and began reading. It wasn't Joxer's though.

and if Autolycus keeps looking at my ass, I swear I'll feed his eye balls to the Raptors Now, About this Joxer fellow....

Gabrielle contiuned to read. Her hand suddenly gripped the paper in a death grip as her eyes looked paniced. She looked to find the name of the writer. When she found it, her eyes looked even more paniced with fear.

"Oh shit!"
