JOXER'S JOURNAL 21

Space, the beautiful, outer world of Earth. I've always wanted to see it, as well as new worlds. FInally today, I, Private Joxer Scott of the United States Air Force, will get my chance today. Percilis is excited too. He can't wait to see the stars, I mean real stars this time instead of when in pilot training.

Joxer

"This is Joxer to base. Ready for take off."

"Copy that, Private. Take off sequence in fifteen seconds. Over."

Joxer flipped of the transmitter of his ship. He looked out the front window, watching as the ship moved. A delighted screaming came from the back of his seat, as he turned and smiled at his partner.

"Easy Percy. You'll get to fly." He told the chimp. Percilis smiled at his human trainer, giving him a thumb up which Joxer returned.

"But I fly first." Joxer murmered as he turned back around.

Joxer fell back into his seat, with the volume of the thrusters as loud as Percilis cry.

"Good luck to you, Private Scott. Say hi to your girlfriend for me on Station Five."

Joxer looked down at the main controls where a picture of a beautiful, tanned brunnette woman wearing an air force uniform, smiling so lovingly which made her more beautiful. Joxer smiled at the picture. Even though she was not there with him, he could still feel her arms wrapped around him so tight and warm.

"I'll tell her, Sir. I'm sure Xena sends her greetings too. Over."

BANG!

The ship began shake wildly. Joxer looked all around in panic. What happened, he thought. Was there a meteor he hit.

There were not signs of meteorites in his coordinates. Joxer looked out out the windsheild of the ship, searching for the disturbance that caused his ship to shake. That was when he saw it. A Magnectic Field.

They called it a worm hole, but Joxer refered to it as it's original name because of it's massive energy. It truly was a beautiful sight...only one small problem.

"Oh shit. We're headed straight for it!"

Percilis cried again in total panic, not sure of what to make of the situation. Joxer could understand his chimp. Even he was shaking in his boots.

"PERCY," Joxer cried over his shoulder. "You remember all instructions I taught you on how to fly! Only one of us is gonna live through this, and that's gonna be you!"

In a second, Joxer pushed a red button next to the control panel, and the ship seperated into two pods with Percilis' pod heading backwards to base, and Joxer's pod heading straight for the Magnetic Field.

Xena, I guess I'll be missing dinner tonight. And here I was about to ask you to be my wife, Joxer thought.

His train of thoughts were soon interrupted when the power of his ship turned off. Now he knew, he had no chance of living now.

Suddenly, the ship began moving at such incredible speed, causing Joxer to fall from his seat. He crashed against the wall and slammed to the ground so hard, he started to feel dizzy.

He slowly lifted his head, looking back out from the window. The last thing he saw was a planet that looked exactly like Earth, and then he fell unconcious.
