Summary: This is NOT a sequel to my recent story, "Virgil and Eve". This takes place during the upcoming season 6 of Xena. I've used some of the rumors of season 6 for this story as well.

Gabrielle smiled as she saw the young bard/warrior walk up to them. Virgil walked up to his father's best friends, and the daugther of Xena, and embraced with Gabrielle. "It's good to see you, Gabrielle." He smiled down at her.

Virgil looked back up to Xena. "And you too, Xena." Xena and the young warrior bard clasped hands in greetings.

"Same here, Virgil. How's your mother been doing?" The Warrior Princess asked.

Before Virgil answered, his eyes turned to Eve. The young messenger of Eli looked down, affraid that the anger and hatred would still be in his eyes. After killing his father, his hero, why wouldn't those hateful feelings not be there? But her thoughts were interrupted by his voice. "Hello Eve. It's...it's good to see you, again." She looked up, her eyes widened in shock. Next to the youths, even Gabrielle and Xena were surprised.

She looked at the boy for awhile before she replied. "Thank you, Virgil. It's...It's good to see you." There then was an uncomfortable silence as Virgil and Eve stared at each other for awhile. Xena and Gabrielle smiled at this. The Warrior Princess nudged her best friend's arm with her elbow, giving her a look saying that there might me a bit of fireworks here.

The thoughts were interrupted as a voice shouted from behind Virgil. A very familiar voice. Xena and Gabrielle turned slowly to the direction of who was speaking, and Gabrielle nearly fell over infront of Xena, but kept her balance. In front of Meg's new restaurant was young male who looked incredibly familiar. The young man wore a brown leather vest and black leather pants. A set of black gaunlets covered his wrist. His eyes though..his looks...his hair...who looked just like...."Joxer." Gabrielle whispered as she walked over to the man.

The young man looked confused at the blond bard. But before he could speak, Gabrielle wrapped her arms around the back of his neck and embraced him in a very tight hug, nearly crushing him to death. Gabrielle pulled away and cupped the man's face in her hands. "Joxer it is you!" She smiled brightly.

"What? Oh...lady you..." He began to say. His voice even sounded like Joxer. But before he could continue, Gabrielle pulled him in and kissed his lips with incredible passion. The man's eyes went wide, and pushed Gabrielle away from him. "Lady! YOUR MAKING A MISTAKE!" He snapped. Gabrielle jumped back at the tone of the Joxer-look alike. Joxer had never yelled at her that loud.

Virgil ran up to Gabrielle's side. "Uh Gabrielle? I'd like you to meet my...my same age brother, Josen."

Gabrielle snapped her head at Virgil. "Brother? You...he....but...he looks like Joxer!" Josen stared at the girl a little closer, then began to burst up laughing. Xena and Eve walked up behind Virgil and Gabrielle. Josen finally was able to control himself, and looked up down at the three confused women.

"I know I look like my father. But hey, so did Uncle Jett and Uncle Jace, right?" He asked. Josen turned back to his brother. "Mom said your things are ready." Virgil nodded to his brother. Josen walked up to Virgil, and the brothers embraced. "Good luck, bro." Josen whispered.

"Thanks." The brothers pulled away, and Josen turned back to Gabrielle.

"Um look...I'm really sorry..."

The blond Amazon Queen/bard/warrior shook her head as she interrupted the second son of Joxer. "No...I should apologize. I'm sorry about mixing you up for your father."

Josen nodded at her reply. Xena walked up to the young man next. "So you're the mysterious one huh? Heard your pretty good as a cook and with a sword." She smiled. He smiled back as he looked down.

"Yeah, that's me. But i'm not much of a good cook, but I help out whenever I can." Xena nodded. "Just like your father does."

Josen looked back up at the dark haired woman. "He was a great man, Xena. He was brave, had a true heart of a hero and a lion, and he was a good friend, as well as a husband to my mother and a father to me, my brothers and sisters."

"I know. He was a good friend of ours too." Xena said as she patted Josen's shoulder.

Josen looked over Xena's shoulder. Xena and Gabrielle turned to see what he was staring at. In the barn, Eve was helping Virgil suit up Argo II for their adventures with Eve's mother and her blond sidekick. "So she's the one eh? The messenger of Eli."

Xena turned to face Josen. "Yeah, that's my daughter."

Josen nodded. "He has forgiven her. Virgil, I mean. And so has my mother. But I don't think I can forgive your child for what she did to my father."

Xena sighed and looked into the eyes Joxer's look alike son. "I'm aware you won't be able to forgive her. But know this. It wasn't Eve who killed your father...it was Livia, a side of my daugther I don't ever wish to see again."

Josen looked at her Xena for quite awhile. It was as if Xena was saying to forgive herself. He nodded to her. " I'll..I'll keep that in mind." He replied. Xena and Josen said their good-byes. Josen then looked over to the short blond woman.

There was another silence, until Josen pulled a scroll out from behind him. "My uh...my father wanted you to have this." He hands the scroll to Gabrielle.

"What's in it?" She asked.

Josen just shrugged his shoulders. "Dunno. When you came back, he started writing something for you. I'm not sure what it says."

Gabrielle looked down at the scroll, then looked back up at Josen. "Thank you." She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and turned to walk up to her friends. Josen watched after her. He was beginning to realize what his father saw in Xena's best friend.

A few hours later, Gabrielle sat on a huge but short log. Beside the log was Joxer's grave and and tombstone. "Hey Joxer." She said to his grave. "I know it's been awhile since I lasted visted you. Alot of things have happened." A single tear went down her eye, but she wiped it away. She held up the scroll Josen gave her. "I got your scroll, I'm about to read it. I just thought it would be better if I read it when I'm close to you." She smiled down at his grave.

Gabrielle opened the scroll and read what Joxer had written for her. Instead of a seeing any writing, the necklace Joxer had bought her when a scroll of hers was cursed and a daisy fell out of the scroll. She touched the necklace, running her fingers around in smoothly. She cherrished the necklace gratefully. she must have lost it on her way to Rome with Xena.

That wasn't all though. Gabrielle opened the scroll all the way, and in the center was a drawing of a big heart. In the center of the heart, Joxer had written something for her.

I LOVE YOU GABRIELLE. I WILL ALWAYS FOREVER.

More tears developed in her eyes as she read the scroll, but only a few of them ran down her cheeks as she wiped her eyes and face. She looked over at the tombstone. She smiled and leaned forward. Her lips kisses the hard stone softly. "I love you too, Joxer. I will forever and always" She whispered as she pulled away from the his tombstone.

Gabrielle put the necklace and the daisy back in the scroll and rolled the scroll back up. She walked over to Xena and the two youths. Before she was next to her friends, she stopped and looked back at Joxer's grave, then turned around and walked with her friends.

As the four walked away, the ground of Joxer's grave began to move. Suddenly, a hand emerged from the ground. A dirt covered figure dug it's way out of the grave, and gasped for breath. As the figure stood up, all the dirt had dissappeared from it's body. "W-w..." The figure was trying to speak. "How did I get here?" Joxer asked himself.

Joxer looked at his hands. Wait! His hands! They weren't old and wrinkled. They were...they were the same twenty-five years ago. He saw a lake near by and ran up to the water. When he reached it, he looked at his reflection. He was twenty-five years younger! His face, his hands...hell his whole body.

His armor was gone though. All he wore was the shirt he wore underneath his clanky armor, and his brown pants with a pair of black boots. He wore a new set of gauntlets though around his wrists that didn't cover his hands, but only his wrists. He looked at his hair. It was short like it was twenty-five years ago.

"HA HA! I'M BACK!! JOXER THE MIGHTY LIVES!!!" He shouted joylously in the air. He started jumping and spinning in the air. He was alive. Alive and happy. Suddenly, he tripped over the log next to his grave and fell over to the ground with a thunk. "Ow! That's smart, Joxer, real smart." He complained to himself.

Suddenly, a flash of golden light appeared infront of him. Michael came into view. "Hello Joxer. Welcome back." The greatest of archangels smiled.

"Thanks...MICHAEL?!" Joxer's eyes were wide open. "You...You brought me back?!" Joxer asked. Michael nodded yes in reply. "Well uh...thanks! B-but why?"

Michael looked down at the warrior. "Because It is not your time, yet. Because you have a destiny with Gabrielle and Xena."

Joxer got up from the ground and dusted himself off. His eyes never leaving Michael. "What destiny? Will I die again?" He asked.

Michael clasped his hand on Joxer's shoulder, and to Joxer's own surprise, he didn't nearly fall back. "You will die, but you'll die together with them." Michael answered.

"Man. Your making it sound like me, Gabrielle, and Xena are more like soulmates or..."

"You are." Michael interrupted. Joxer's jaw had dropped and his eyes had widened in pure shock. Michael continued. "That is your destiny. To be with the Warrior Princess and her best friend. It will happen again in other life times as well."

"But...Xena and Gabrielle! They are suppose to be...!"

"No..Xena, Gabrielle, and you Joxer." Michael corrected.

Joxer shook his head. "But aren't they suppose to be more than...."

"No!" He interrupted again. "Just believe me when I say that you three are soulmates and are meant to be together forever." Michael turned and vanished in the golden light.

Joxer tried to speak again, but Michael had already left. Suddenly he heard a voice saying "Go to them." Suddenly, a sword in a sword shaft fell to his feet. He looked at the sword. It was a bit more thinner than his old one, but it felt very strong. He placed the sword back in it's shaft, and put the sword shaft on one side of his waist.

Joxer found the tracks of his friends, and quickly ran down their path to find them. Nothing was going to keep him away from his best friends now. And nothing was going to keep him away from Gabrielle.
