Questions About Archiving
1. Will you archive my fics?
- Yes! The only catch is that you have to send them in yourself; the JFFG doesn't solicit material, it takes submissions.
2. Who do I send fanfics to?
- You'll need to go to the Yahoo!Groups website and sign up to join the JFFG email group. Once you're in, start posting! All new posters are moderated at first, but once you post a few on-topic comments, you'll be able to post at will. (We get spammers who lurk.) You can either post directly via the website, or you can send your emails to jffg@yahoogroups.com; either way they will go through. BUT - and this is important - please do NOT send fics directly to the moderator of the list, or the owner of these archives (who happen to both be me). Anything sent privately will NOT be archived; material has to be sent publically to the list, because that is what these archives are for.
3. What kinds of fics do you take?
- Joxer-friendly fanfic. The only catch is that it can't be a "Xena" fic that has Joxer in it only to have everyone gang up on him and kill him; we just don't do that. (In fact, we don't archive fics that do that to anyone.) It doesn't have to be "Xena" fanfic; it can be a crossover, an uber, an alternate universe, whatever you like, as long as Joxer is a character. Or, heck, even a theme. There's no rating limit, but if you are posting a piece with graphic sex, violence, or anything objectionable, you MUST put a warning in the subject line and again in the header of the fic. Anything rated over an R will be archived separately from other materials. Also, we get a little loose with the rules; we actually do archive submissions of "Xena" fic that don't have Joxer in them. However, please don't make a habit of it. *G* Plus, you can technically submit anything to the list that you want, but if it's not "Xena" and Joxer's not in it, it won't be archived. Period.
4. Can I send you my artwork?
- - Nope, sorry. We don't archive graphics. There are more than enough files here just with the text ones!
