Xena was about done with her tankard of ale when Joxer plopped down on the seat opposite her at one of the smaller tables in the inn she, Gabrielle, and Joxer had stopped at after a rather long day of traveling. He had a pensive look on his face and Xena prepared herself to endure whatever it was that Joxer wanted to talk to her about.

"Hey Xena?"

"Yes, Joxer?"

"You've been around the world and everything like that, right?"

"Yes?" She replied warily.

"Well, I know you're no stranger to...I mean, you've had plenty of experience with...You're an expert in the art of..."

"Spit it out, Joxer!"

"See, and I'm just curious, mind you, I heard Autolycus talking about them the other day and I didn't want to have to ask him, cause, you know, he'd make fun of me, not knowing what they were, but I figured that, since we're friends and all, that I could ask you without you..."

"Joxer, so help me, if you don't ask me whatever it is that you want to ask me right now, I'm going to get my chakram out and cut open..."

"What are condoms?"

"..."

"Xena?"

"They're population-control devices invented and used primarily by the Trojans." Xena replied, sounding as though she was reading from a teaching scroll.

"Ah...thanks...um..."

Xena quickly finished her drink and got up from the table and walked over to the stairs leading to the rooms, leaving Joxer at the table with a puzzled look on his face.
